Exciting new developments for the scheme

Published on 20.12.2018 by

I am taking this opportunity to update you on some recent developments. You may be aware that OCS has been engaged by Hadley Wood Security to manage the security service on our behalf. After more than seven years, we recently went out to tender to ensure that you the residents were receiving the best available service for the best price. Four companies tendered for the contract including OCS and we are delighted to inform you that a new company called My Local Bobby (MLB) successfully won the tender and the new contract commences in January.

MLB is owned and run by two ex-Metropolitan Police Commanders and as you would expect, they have an extremely close working relationship with their active colleagues in the Met. In fact, our own Ward Officer PC Bliss has worked with them for almost 25 years and this close connection was a big factor in the decision to appoint MLB. There will be numerous other benefits and service improvements that we are extremely excited about and we are planning an all residents meeting on 31st January at 7pm, please ‘Save the Date’ now, more details will be available soon.

We are working with MLB to ensure a seamless transition and we will advise you of the new telephone numbers to be used in due course. The only action you will be required to take is to update your contact numbers and advise your keyholders and alarm monitoring services of the new emergency number. The plaques that you display outside your properties will also be changed to incorporate the new details.

Finally, I am also delighted to inform you that the Hadley Wood Association, Neighbourhood Watch and our local Police Officer are working closely with us and we all look forward to meeting you at the Crime Summit on 31st January at 7pm where any questions you may have can be answered. There will be lots of new security initiatives being launched so please make every effort to attend.

In the meantime, thank you for your continued support to ensure that we make Hadley Wood a safe and secure place for us all to live and enjoy.

Stay safe!
Simon Lester
Director
